The drama is bidding farewell with a two-part season finale after a six season run. The release dates were announced in the new trailer for part one.

Just a couple days ago, it was announced that the drama, The Crown, would be wrapping up with a two part season finale. When the trailer was released, it featured Queen Elizabeth II going through past images of Claire Foy and Olivia Colman, symbolizing the acknowledgment of their decades-long journey.

The first four episodes will be available for streaming on November 16, followed by the release of the final six episodes nearly a month later, on December 14. This approach is not entirely new for Netflix, as they previously divided seasons. For instance, Stranger Things season 4 was released in two parts, with the first seven episodes in May, and the last two held until July.

The drama series will take place in the ’90s and early 2000s, around the time period of the tragic death of Princess Diana.

The series will also depict the early stages of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s romance, when they were both studying at the University of St. Andrews.

The final outing will star Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Ed McVey as Prince William, Luther Ford as Prince Harry, Meg Bellamy as Kate Middleton, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Phillip, Dominic West as Prince Charles and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Part one will be available for streaming on November 16. In the meantime, the first five seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
