The anticipation peaks after nearly two years since the well-known and well-respected designer announced her return to the fashion industry.

“Finally, on the last weekend of Paris Fashion Week, Philo made a fashionably late entrance, announcing that she would make her long-awaited return on 30 October,” stated The Guardian. Philo’s phenomenal quirk to keep her admirers on their toes makes the wait all the more worth it. 

Expectations are high, naturally, considering Philo’s past portfolios in fashion. Her ability to enter a brand like Celine and completely transition its lack of cache is proof enough.

Before Phoebe Philo, Celine’s presence amongst other Parisian fashion houses was modest. “To wear Céline during the Philo era of 2008-2017 stood for having both brains and an eye for beauty, sophistication without fuss, elegance with ease,” explained The Guardian. The same can almost be said about Chloé.

Philo’s exquisite touch of effortless, feminine boho chic provoked hunger in consumers to pursue Chloé. During Philo’s tenure, Chloé experienced remarkable growth in the fashion world, distinguished by its sophisticated boho-chic clothing and a series of highly sought-after handbags. This indeed is a telling sign that her brand will elicit the same hunger.

The designs speak for themselves—especially Philo’s designs. There is not a single piece designed by Phoebe Philo to this day that goes unrecognized. In fact, some second hand pieces retail for a higher price than the original cost.

If her extraordinary contribution to fashion is any indication, there is no doubt Philo will underwhelm. The suspense is well-maintained, though. Philo’s social media leave little to no hints. It’s a stimulating tease.

The announcement included a montage of dynamic visuals, featuring elements such as black leather, white feathers, sunglasses, gold studs, striking earrings, unadorned faces, and gleaming surfaces.

There were no sneak peek of any clothing articles, specifically. Nevertheless, the excitement flourishes.
