Meanwhile, the Australian actor has never had an interest in superhero films and he expressed to GQ that watching those films makes him restless, let alone seeing himself act in one. The actor’s stated Superhero roles are one of many roles he strays away from, as he wants to only focus on the ones that he likes.
“And obviously, anything can happen, but at this stage in my life, I don’t see myself having any interest in that,” he expressed. “I like to make what I would watch, and I get very restless watching those movies.”
While declining the Superman script, the Kissing Booth star opened up about portraying Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla. He also recalls being intentional about adapting Presley’s tone and how he would make sure to stay in his voice the entire time on set. Moreover, Coppola recalled first meeting Elordi, she mentioned that all the girls present turned their attention to him. “I mean, he’s striking – so tall. But he just has a charisma; he has an effect on women that I imagine was similar to Elvis.”
Jacob Elordi is having a moment. Excellent performances in two superb, Oscar-worthy films. I found his Elvis in Priscilla to be multi-layered and fascinating. And his turn as Felix in Saltburn is charismatic to the nth degree. I hope he’s recognized somewhere this awards season. pic.twitter.com/5yld8vDiiN

“There’s all these layers and hoops that you have to jump through to get to that voice,” he revealed. “So for me personally to be dropping out of my voice and then coming in, it’s not going to work,” he stated.
