Beetlejuice 2 Receives a Title and First Poster
Exciting news dropped for Beetlejuice fans; the sequel has received a title: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and a first poster. The film will be released on September 6.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will be the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 classic Beetlejuice. Michael Keaton will return as the iconic character, as well as Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara. In addition, Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci are a part of the film. Dafoe is recently coming off his stellar performance in Poor Things.
Ortega adds a young star to the cast who has worked with Burton before on the production of the Netflix series Wednesday. Ortega has also grown popular in the horror genre with her appearances in the Scream franchise and X. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice comes at the perfect time, releasing just before the Halloween season.

Moreover, the sequel comes 36 years after the original. Keaton has already reprised a role he portrayed in the past as Batman, in which he cameoed in The Flash. The original captured a mix of comedy and horror-like elements that helped boost the career of Keaton and Burton.
It was also the film that introduced Ryder to the public eye, who has since starred in the TV series Stranger Things, plus films like Edward Scissorhands, and Girl Interrupted. Burton will return to direct the film, but the original stars, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, will not return.

The production of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was delayed due to the SAG/AFTRA strike, which led some to question the September 6 release date. However, the film still plans to come out on that date, as confirmed on the poster.
