After teasing a new era, Beyoncé released not one but two new singles on the night of Superbowl LVIII.

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers faced off during Super Bowl LVII–but football wasn’t the only excitement for viewers, especially for the Beyhive. The singer-songwriter appeared in a commercial for Verizon, in which she tried to “break Verizon” by starting a lemonade stand, singing in space, creating a Beyoncé AI, and running for presidential office, to name a few.

She stated in the last few seconds of the ad, “Drop the new music.” As if this didn’t leave fans in enough of a frenzy, the singer released two new singles, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES,” after Usher’s halftime performance.

At the 66 Grammy Awards, Beyoncé appeared in a western-esque outfit, alluding to a possible genre shift. As of last night, the singer has also altered her social media profiles to a picture of her wearing a cowboy hat, confirming our speculations. Both “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES” are heavily influenced by the country style, and fans have predicted that her next will fall into the country genre, too.

#BeyoncéBowl was trending on X last night, with supporters going crazy over the new releases. That’s not the only thing fans are looking forward to, though, as the Grammy-winning artist changed her profile banner to a completely black picture featuring text that says “act ii. 3.29.”
