5 Bold Style Tips You Need From Brazilian Carnaval
Everybody brings their A-game to Carnaval, from the celebrities on stage to the people celebrating in the streets. Here are five tips everyone can add to their repertoire.
Every year, Brazil turns all their attention to the celebration of Carnaval. The event has a long history and takes different shapes depending on where you are, whether Mardi Gras in Louisiana, Vastenavond in the Netherlands, Carnevale di Venezia in Italy, or Carnaval de Nice in France.
Inside Brazil, each state has its traditions and ways to celebrate, but there is one thing they all have in common: amazing fashion.
Glitter, Glitter, Glitter!
Whether it is 7 a.m. or 11 p.m., everyone will be packed with glitter, confetti, sequins, and anything shiny.
There is a lot of body glitter, rhinestones on the makeup, and sequins in the outfits to shine under the sunlight or the strobe lights from parties at night.
You can use the glitter to coordinate colors with your outfit or to create contrast.

Colors to the Max!
Don’t be afraid to use and abuse colors, especially during summer or at events!
Make sure you stick to your style and use colors that compliment your skin, hair, and eye color. If you are afraid of color combinations, look for examples of celebrities’ outfits and even inspiration from colors in nature.
Layers, even during Summer!
When temperatures surpass 70 degrees, it gets hard to think about layering pieces, but take inspiration from international singer Anitta.
She used many layers that covered little skin, and as the day passed, she took some bulkier layers out. However, even in the end, her outfits were still intricate because she still had levels building her outfit.
Hair and makeup to add to the look!
On top of spending time deciding your outfit, the look is only complete with hair and makeup that compliments you and the clothes.
You can find tutorials on YouTube, Instagram, and even TikTok. Many people have great ideas that can inspire you to create your own styles.

Show your individuality in your outfit!
Always show who you are in your outfits, no matter the event or the season.
Your image should reflect who you are because that is the first impression you will give to others. Take best friends model Sasha Meneghel and Blue Beetle star Bruna Marquezine. Marquezine has a shiny, intricate outfit with more natural makeup and hair, while Meneghel has a simpler but fun hair and makeup outfit. Each of their outfits reflects their personalities and personal preferences.
If not only the fashion intrigued you but also the event, Carnaval happens every year, 47 days before Easter.
