A Good Girls Guide to Murder First Look
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, a bestselling book series by author Holly Jackson, is set to hit the screens in a new BBC television series adaptation.
The series will follow 17-year-old Pip, who inserts herself into a closed murder investigation for her senior capstone project. She dives into her new investigation as to what happened to student, Andie Bell. Five years prior, Bell disappeared, leaving Sal Singh as the main suspect, who eventually took his own life. However, Pip isn’t sure they have the right guy, so she is doing everything she can to solve and get justice for Sal.
Fans just received a first look at the teen crime thriller with first-time photos released from the series. Emma Myers will portray Pip. The actress is best known as Enid Sinclair from the popular Netflix series Wednesday, as well as her most recent role in Family Switch.
The rest of the confirmed cast members include Zain Iqbal portraying Ravi Singh, Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren, Raiko Gohara as Zach, Jude Collie as Connor, and Asha Banks as Cara.
Myers was one of the accounts that posted the first look photos on her Instagram, stirring excitement in fans.
BBC and Moonage Pictures are teaming up for this series, with executive producers Matthew Read and Frith Tiplady.
Read talked about why he decided to adapt the novels, stating, “I thought that the twists and turns were so brilliantly constructed, that it had everything you could possibly want from a compelling piece of must-watch television. So we pursued it aggressively.”
The series began filming in the spring of 2023 and is set to premiere on BBC Three, with no official release date yet. However, based on its filming schedule, fans speculate that it will be released later this year or early 2025. They are sharing their excitement for their favorite book on social media.
