What Happened to Alicia Keys Voice Crack Video?
Did you guys catch the Super Bowl halftime show? If you did, you would have heard Alicia Keys’ extra note, but why isn’t it in the NFL’s official YouTube video?
Fans at the game noticed the difference between keys opening notes during Key’s performance and the version uploaded to YouTube.

Keys was among a variety of star surprise guests, including Lil Jon, H.E.R, and Ludacris, who joined Usher for the Apple 2024 Half Time show at the Allegiant Stadium located in Las Vegas, ahead of the win for the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers.
As the first of Usher’s guests, Keys made a stunning entrance in a billowing scarlet red cape as she played the first notes of “If I Ain’t Got You” on a red grand piano. Her vocals were amazing as she sang one of her first and biggest hits. First, her voice starts soothing over the shortened humming version at the beginning of the original track. When she begins singing the song’s chorus, her voice cracks immediately.
This was how Keys’ surprise cameo for Usher’s Super Bowl performance started if you watched it live. However, those who didn’t watch would not know about this musical note blunder if it had not been for social media posts or news stories. The official video posted by the NFL doesn’t show this happening at all.

But fans didn’t let this slide; many of them made social media posts showcasing the side-by-side edits of the performance.
“It’s normal they didn’t need to edit it out.” expressed this X user. This isn’t something we need to shame singers for.”
Swiss Beatz, music producer and Keys’ husband defended her on Monday, expressing how fans are “talking about the wrong d*mn thing !!!” on an Instagram post of Keys during the show. “Y’all don’t see that amazing dress covering the entire stadium. Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with 2 amazing Giants! Congrats Usher and my love Alicia Keys that song is a classic. We don’t do negative vibes on this side we make history.”
