Sydney Sweeney will make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live with Kasey Musgraves as the musical guest, on March 2.

The NBC series has just returned with the announcement of three consecutive shows starting February 24. Fans are excited about the Euphoria star’s appearance, making up for the less-than-stellar reviews her recent film, Madame Web, has received.

Adding SNL to her body of work is no small feat, as Sweeney’s latest romantic comedy, Anyone But You, displayed her range in acting. This film has set the record for the highest-grossing live-action Shakespeare adaptation.

Sweeney has since shared her reaction to her latest endeavor. Despite this being a highly desired role, she also revealed that she will be facing her “biggest fear,” in an Instagram story following the announcement.

Stage fright can impact just about anyone, and her comments make her, if anything, more relatable to her fans. With her impressive background, it is hard to believe her March 2 show won’t go off without a hitch.

Despite the star’s acting credits dating back to 2009, she began to rise in 2018 with captivating roles in The Handmaid’s Tale and Sharp Objects. Sweeney’s fame reached even greater heights the following year as Cassie Howard in Euphoria. For this, she earned a 2022 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Currently, the new film, Immaculate, a psychological thriller featuring Sweeney, is set to release on March 22.

Her musical guest, Kasey Musgraves, will be performing at SNL for the third time. Her latest album, titled Deeper Well, will drop on March 15, following her SNL performance.

You can catch Saturday Night Live on NBC or with a Peacock subscription.
