Vanessa Hudgens Stuns at This Year’s Oscars With an Adorable Plus One

It’s the start of something new for singer, actress, and now soon-to-be mother Vanessa Hudgens. Hudgens, 34, resumed her role as ABC’s Oscars Red Carpet correspondent, and this year, she had a guest appearance from none other than her future child.

The High School Musical star wore a long black turtleneck dress that showed off her baby bump. She completed the look with a half-up, half-down hairstyle and accessorized with a white-gold Chopard 10.6-carat necklace.

Hudgens glowed from within, thanks to the hands of Tonya Brewer and ColourPop Cosmetics, proving that chic, exceptional glam doesn’t have to break the bank.

This is her first child with her now-husband, baseball player, Cole Tucker. They met in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdowns, during a Zoom meditation hosted by Joe Jonas. They were spotted getting cozy with one another in November, and they made their romance Instagram official in February 2021.

The two tied the knot in December 2023 in Tulum, Mexico. During her bachelorette getaway, fans speculated about her pregnancy, which at the time was not true. “Not pregnant so y’all can stop,” the CaliWater co-founder clapped back.

In a recently released, but not recently recorded, episode of the She Pivots podcast, she dove deeper into the harmful accusations. “I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful…I’m sorry I don’t wear Spanx every day and am a real woman and have a real body,” she stated.

Now, ready to share her pregnancy with the world, Hudgens glowed throughout the pre-ceremony celebration. Back hosting for the third time, this year, alongside Julianne Hough, Hudgens received compliments from fans and fellow celebrities, including Ariana Grande.

When interviewing Grande on her new film venture, Wicked, debuting later this year, Grande gushed, “I love you so much. Congratulations, you’re magnificent.” 

Not only is the actress celebrating her pregnancy with the public this week, but she also stars alongside Zach Braff in the Paramount film French Girl, hitting the platform on March 19.
