Galantis consists of Christian Karlsson (Bloodshy). Karlsson has been working under the name Galantis since 2009. Galantis was initially a duo; however, the other member, Style of Eye, decided to part ways in 2017. Karlsson has worked in many genres, such as punk rock, hip-hop, and pop.
The musician officially debuted as Galantis at the 2014 Coachella Music Festival. According to his website, his goal is to “evolve and push the boundaries of songwriting within the world of dance music and beyond.”
Undoubtedly, he is meeting his goals. The musician has collaborated with many artists, including Britney Spears, Madonna, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, and Coldplay.
Galantis has some unique ideas regarding promoting their song “Lighter.” The staple image used for his branding is a metallic silver cat head. The cat head can be seen in different images, always mentioning the band, Five Seconds of Summer. One image consists of someone wearing the cat head and a shirt that says “5SOS.” These images have stirred up much excitement among collaborators’ fans. It is also safe to assume that Galantis is excited about this collaboration and new single.
