Brittany Snow Shares the Truth About Her Divorce on Podcast
Brittany Snow recently shared on a podcast that the cheating allegations surrounding her ex-husband are true and that she is giving herself grace after her divorce.
“Yes, what happened, happened. What it’s alluded to in the press is true,” the 38-year-old stated on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
The Pitch Perfect star filed for divorce in January 2023 after her ex-husband, Tyler Stanaland, sparked allegations of his inappropriate behavior in the Netflix series Selling the OC. In multiple scenes during the series, Stanaland and his costars Alex Hall and Kayla Cardona engaged in flirtatious behavior.
When Snow first watched the series, the actress explained she did not see the signs stating, “I did not know what was going on…I think I was just completely shocked that I didn’t have a handle on reality in that way…I was like, ‘What?!’ To trust yourself after that and be like, ‘I have a good sense of character.’ I had instincts and I think, because I was in love, I didn’t trust them.”
The Pitch Perfect 2 actress expressed that the Selling the OC cast took up a lot of space in her head and she did not want to continue to give them that power. She also explained her reasons for not speaking out stating, “I was not going to play that game. I don’t have the anger that I think people wanted me to have…I just didn’t even want to go there.”
Snow also mentions that while she was hurt she doesn’t regret that time spent with her ex-husband stating, “There was love there. There was a marriage there. There was so much love. I think that that gray is hard to understand because it’s much more salacious and interesting when it’s like, ‘He did this. She did this.'”

The actress used the inappropriate situation as a sign to leave the relationship. Since leaving she has never doubted her decision. In addition, she also advised others going through a similar situation to start viewing their exes as real people, rather than as idealized versions they have of them.
The Someone Great star is now a newly single woman and she explained that she is taking this time for herself stating, “I’ve been actively trying to be alone and be with myself and just feel the feelings and not have to band-aid it…I’ve been in and out of things a little bit, but nothing concretely.”
