Anya Taylor-Joy Reveals Photos From Secret Wedding with Malcolm McRae

On Tuesday morning, Anya Taylor Joy posted photos on Instagram that revealed her secret wedding with her husband Malcolm McRae two years ago.

Fans were shocked when they opened Instagram to see Anya Taylor Joy stunning in a wedding dress. Her caption confirmed that she is celebrating her second anniversary with her husband, McRae. She revealed that they secretly tied the knot two years ago on April Fools Day in New Orleans, and the post earned over 1.5 million likes.

In this first photo, Joy is captured in a side view of her gorgeous custom Dior wedding dress as she holds a bouquet. In the following slides, she is shown in a photo with her close friend Cara Delevingne, who is seen in a cream suit sitting next to the bride and groom under Joy’s enormous veil. In the last slide, a photo of ‘anatomically correct heart cakes,’ as Joy calls them in her caption, shows two heart-shaped cakes side by side as they ooze blood.

Joy describes her wedding dress as beautifully embroidered with her love story with McRae. It features sparkling embellishments, spaghetti straps, and a gorgeous, unique hummingbird and floral design. The overall dress is a beige color.

It looks like the couple’s wedding was vampire-themed, with Joy writing in the caption that she is the Vampire Lestat, a vampire from Anne Rice’s novel Interview with the Vampire. 

The actress and rock musician met in 2021 at the Golden Globe award-winning The Queens Gambit premiere. Shortly after that, they began dating and were rumored to be engaged in 2022. They then made it official in private after dating for only one year. 

No one knew that the couple was married, so it shocked their followers and other celebrities who congratulated the newlyweds in the comment section.

In less than 24 hours of Joy’s Instagram announcement, social media is being flooded with thousands of posts showing support for the actress and the unique aesthetic of her wedding.
