Dan Schneider Files New Lawsuit Against Quiet on Set Producers

Dan Schneider filed a lawsuit against the creators of Quiet on Set, alleging that they tarnished his reputation and defamed him by falsely portraying him as a child predator at Nickelodeon.
The former television creator’s attorneys have accused the producers of the docuseries, which premiered in March and recounted the purported events behind the scenes at Nickelodeon during its prime, of “falsely stating or implying that Schneider sexually abused the children who worked on his television shows.”
There is absolutely a case to be made in this Dan Schneider defamation lawsuit. Quiet On Set… much like many uninformed YouTubers… painted Dan as an equal with actual SA convicts. This could go on his favor.

According to the lawsuit, the well-known creator, recognized for his popular series like iCarly, Zoey101, and Drake & Josh, is suing Emma Schwartz, Mary Robertson, Warner Brothers Discovery, Inc., Maxine Productions, and Sony Pictures Television Inc., the producers of Quiet on Set.
Schneider made a public statement on Wednesday regarding the complaint, discussing that while he is “apologetic and regretful” for his actions as a producer and “will continue to take accountability for it,” he feels “compelled to take legal action against the people behind” the series.

This includes delving into the roles and actions of Brian Peck, a dialogue and acting coach involved in the Nickelodeon productions at the time.

When authorities arrested Peck, then 43, in 2003 on 11 charges, including oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, lewd act upon a juvenile 14 or 15 by a person ten years older, and sodomy, they didn’t know the victim’s identity.
Schneider is seeking unspecified punitive damages. He claims that the docuseries has caused him financial losses and mental anguish.
