Despite his genuine effort, the experience did not unfold as expected, leaving him somewhat dissatisfied with his dating endeavors.
“It’s not been too successful for me, I’ll be honest,” he expressed. “Everyone accused me of catfishing. They’re like, ‘What are you using Zayn Malik’s pictures for?’ I’ve been kicked off once or twice.”
Now, the “Dusk Till Dawn” singer has decided to take a break from using apps to meet people, instead embracing this newfound phase of solitude and self-discovery. He expressed satisfaction with being single, emphasizing how it’s a refreshing change and a unique experience. By reveling in his independence, he can focus on personal growth and fully appreciate this self-reflection and inner peace period.

“I’m really content and happy with being single for the first time in my life”
Malik’s romantic journey began alongside his rise to fame in the renowned British boy band One Direction when he started dating Edwards. Their relationship transitioned to an engagement before ending in a split in 2015. Moving forward, Malik found companionship with Hadid later that same year, leading to an on-and-off partnership. This bond blossomed with the arrival of their daughter, Khai, in 2020. Unfortunately, the couple faced another separation the following year, marking the end of their shared chapter.
“It’s probably wise to take your time before you fully invest in another human being as a lifelong partner. I only have my daughter 50 percent of the time. I would have her 90 percent if I could. We go see Disney on Ice, or we go see the Nickelodeon theme park. Or we go to the beach. That’s how I get out”
Malik’s fourth solo album, Room Under The Stairs, comes out this Friday. Be sure to listen.
