After being teased nearly two years ago at San Diego Comic-Con and going by several different names in the process, such as Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Agatha: House of Harkness, Marvel Studios has officially revealed it was Agatha All Along in a clever marketing scheme to promote the new series.

Kathryn Hahn will return to reprise her role as the evil sorceress Agatha Harkness. If you haven’t read the comics yet, Agatha has been present for quite some time before being brought to life in WandaVision.
Harkness existed during pivotal moments in history such as the Salem Witch Trials, represented in WandaVision when recapping how Agatha came to her true evil ways. Later in the comics, Harkness became a mentor to Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch. Agatha guided Wanda with honing in on her magical abilities, although their relationship became strained due to conflicting agendas.

Don’t miss the two-episode premiere of #AgathaAllAlong, September 18 on @DisneyPlus. pic.twitter.com/hwPSOeJFv6
Now, the brand new series will be premiering later this year, on September 18. Airing exclusively on Disney+, like Marvel Studio’s other limited series,’ Agatha All Along will also have a two-episode premiere. The two-episode premiere is familiar with other series debuting on Disney+, most recently X-Men: ’97.
Next, the series will pick up where WandaVision left off—a powerless Agatha Harkness. After the final battle with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Agatha was left helpless and confused as Wanda left WestView for another conquest. In a mission to regain her abilities, Harkness will seek help from some unlikely allies, but, no word yet on who exactly those friends or foes could be.
Also set to star in the chilling new series are Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. While their roles and allegiance to Harkness are being kept under wraps, hopefully, we will get another exclusive look soon before the series debuts in September.
With WandaVision having a successful run as the first live-action MCU show on Disney+, receiving almost 25 Emmy nominations, including Best Supporting Actress for Kathryn Hahn, the excitement for Agatha All Along builds even more. One of WandaVision’s Emmy wins’ was for Best Original Music and Lyrics, which was awarded to the catchy tune “Agatha All Along,” revealing she was behind all the darkness and chaos that followed Wanda throughout the series.
