Jimin of BTS will release his second solo album, MUSE, on Friday, July 19.

The announcement states, “Following his first solo album, ‘FACE,’ where he sought to explore his true identity, ‘MUSE’ documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration.”

The official BTS X account posted a 27-second clip featuring Jimin. In the video, Jimin walks into an empty room filled with purple lockers. He opens one of the lockers, retrieves a paper with sheet music on it, and then walks back out of the room.

MUSE will include a total of seven tracks. Among these is “Closer Than This,” a fan song previously released as a Christmas gift to ARMY.

The idol’s first album saw major success, with his song “Like Crazy” debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This accomplishment made him the first South Korean solo artist to do so. Bandmate Junkook’s “Seven” surpassed the record months later.

The new album will be available in two different versions: MUSE (BLOOMING ver.) and MUSE (SERENADE ver.). Each version offers unique packaging and additional content, providing fans with multiple options for purchase.

The album’s contents will include several collectible items. Fans can expect to find a CD sleeve, a coaster, a sticker pack, and a photo card.

A detailed promotion schedule for the record’s release has also been shared. This schedule outlines the specific dates when the tracklist, concept photos, and music video trailer for MUSE will be released.

Compared to the release of Jimin’s first album, where he was able to do live promotions, including interviews, performances, and appearances on shows like Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, his current service in the South Korean military prevents him from doing any live promotions for the new project. All promotional activities for MUSE seem to have been pre-recorded. Jimin remains in the military with all the other BTS members except Jin

Fans will have the opportunity to pre-order and save the album starting June 18. Watch the teaser for it below.
