After eight months since the release of Qing Madi’s self-titled debut EP, the singer is back with a deluxe edition. This expanded EP includes two new tracks.

The expanded EP includes two new tracks: “YBIL (You Believe in Love)” featuring Kizz Daniel and “Sins For U,” as well as a remix of “Vision” with Chlöe Bailey. In an Instagram post, the singer also announced that her new album is number one in Uganda and Sierre Leone.

In an interview with Culture Custodian Qing Madi shared that her mother has always been supportive of her music. “My mom was a dancer and she knew I could sing, so she was already in support, and you know when your mom is in support, everything just seems like that’s what you’re meant to do in life.” The singer continues “I never really had the moment where I was like ‘maybe I should be a singer’.”

The artist had been teasing the song “YBIL (You Believe in Love)” for the last few weeks. Her fan’s prayers were answered when she finally released this highly-requested track.

The Nigerian artist also released a performance video for “Sins For U” as well as a visualizer for “YBIL (You Believe in Love).”

The artist celebrated her 18 birthday last week, reflecting on her journey as a rising star, in a video posted on Instagram. Qing Madi shared “I’m living such a full life.”

Moreover, the “Ole” singer gave fans a behind-the-scenes video on how the original EP was made. The EP has been praised as one of the best Afrobeats projects in years.

Fans have been loving the deluxe EP since “YBIL” entered Nigeria’s Apple Music Top 100 chart at #96.
