The 2024 Paris Gymnastics team will head to the Olympics in fashionable style.

GK Elite and USA Gymnastics made history by unveiling the leotards that the 2024 team will wear when they take the mat in Paris. For the second consecutive Olympic Games, the logo of the world’s leading gymnastic apparel, GK Elite, will be worn by the men’s and women’s gymnastics teams during training and competition.

On July 10, fans were ecstatic to witness a monumental event when the team revealed the GK leotards. The CEO of Elite Sportswear, Matt Cowan, stated, “We are excited to continue our partnership with USA Gymnastics and unveil our extraordinary designs for the gymnasts representing our country at the Olympics.”

Featuring the leotards are Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, Joscelyn Roberson, and Leanne Wong. Additionally, the men’s team includes Brody Malone, Fred Richard, Asher Hong, Paul Juda, and Stephen Nedoroscik.

The gymnasts modeled eight eye-catching leotard styles holding 47,000 Swarovski crystals. The design director of GK Elite, Jeanne Diaz, explained, “The more crystals, the more impact, the more the leotards are talked about.” Not only do the dazzling uniforms enhance the gymnasts’ appearance, but the routines and movements entrance the audience.

Wanting to emphasize the fashion aspect of the uniforms, GK Elite decided to up their game from the previous years. Leaning on the Paris theme (fashion capital of the world), the designers added more crystals, and, for the first time, they added pears as well.

The five gymnasts are expected to wear the “Go for Glory” design when they step onto the stage in Paris. The design “aims to capture the radiant moment when an athlete, draped in the flag, transcends to become a symbol of triumph.”

Another leotard is the “Luminous Legacy” red, white, and blue, with more than 10,000 crystals. The design contains a V-neck mesh cut-out and corset look. Meanwhile, the “Star Spangled Shine” design is a black velvet base that is composed of several star cut-outs with sheer lace. The leotard has 3,500 crystals and just under 1,000 pearls.

As for the remaining leotards, the “USA Elegance” showcases French couture, while the “Sovereign Sparkle” emphasizes Independence Day fireworks and the Paris Eiffel Tower. The “American Anthem Leotard” is inspired by the art nouveau movement, and the “Luminous Legacy” leotard synthesizes high fashion.
