Fousheé Teases New Album ‘Pointy Heights’ Coming This August
Fousheé recently teased that her newest album is coming sooner than we think. After several musical collaborations, Pointy Heights is arriving next month.
First, Fousheé uploaded the image above to her Instagram to officially announce her newest album. The image presents Fousheé in a manner where we cannot see her face, but we can guess this may be the album cover for Pointy Heights.
For those who are not familiar with Fousheé, she is a New York-based alternative soul singer. Originally from New Jersey, she is best known for her appearance on Adam Levine’s team for Season 15 of The Voice. In addition, her blind audition of Childish Gambino‘s “Redbone” has garnered over a million views on YouTube.
Second, you may also recognize the singer in recent musical collaborations over the years. Most notably being a feature on Steve Lacy‘s second studio album Gemini Rights for the song “Sunshine.”
With a soothing voice and powerful songwriting skills, there’s no question that Fousheé has a strong and diversifying talent that led to the collaboration with Childish Gambino for his new film Bando Stone & The New World.
That’s right, besides performing with Childish Gambino to preview his new album, Fousheé has her own feature, titled “Running Around.” With collaborations such as Steve Lacy and Childish Gambino already under her belt, the singer is solidifying a name for herself as she emerges as a star in the industry.
Now, back to all the information we know so far surrounding the singer’s upcoming album. While she kept the details surrounding her third studio project very brief, the album arrives next month, but we do not know the exact day yet. What we do know though is that this latest project is arriving a little less than two years since her last LP, softCORE.
Until then, you can listen to Fousheé’s latest feature on Childish Gambino’s final album July 19, where she not only features but is also rumored to collaborate with Steve Lacy once again on the track “Steps Beach.” To listen to her full discography, click here.
