Transformers One: Second Trailer Hints at a Tragic Betrayal
The second trailer for Transformers One showcases the origins of a classic rivalry and how it tragically began thousands of years ago.
San Diego Comic-Con began on July 25. To kick off the event from the famous Hall H auditorium, Paramount unleashed the second trailer for Transformers One. Set thousands of years in the past, this film explores the relationship between two worker robots, Orion Pax and D-16. In the future, these brothers-in-arms come to be known as the rival generals Optimus Prime and Megatron.

In addition to being the second fully animated Transformers film, Transformers One also makes history as the first film in the franchise to not feature any human characters. Due to its setting and time, transformers are a long way from intervening in human affairs as we might have seen them do in previous films. Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) directs the animated feature. Moreover, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man And The Wasp) wrote the script. Back in April, the first trailer for Transformers One was released to a mixed fan reception.

Furthermore, this film features an all-star voice cast. Chris Hemsworth (Furiosa) voices Orion Pax, the role made famous by veteran voice actor Peter Cullen. Opposite him is Brian Tyree Henry (Causeway) as D-16. Keegan-Micheal Key (Wonka) appears as B-127, later known as Bumblebee, and Scarlet Johansson (Fly Me to the Moon) portrays Elita. Finally, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm will appear as Starscream, Alpha Trion, and Sentinal Prime.
Transformers is one of the largest film franchises of the 20th century. However, success has been more elusive since the departure of director Micheal Bay. Despite that, Bay worked on the earliest development of this film.
