Megan Thee Stallion Stuns at VP Harris’ Rally
Last Tuesday, Megan Thee Stallion performed a short yet powerful set in support of Vice President Kamala Harris during her presidential campaign rally at the Georgia State Convocation Center.
Dazzled in nearly all blue accompanied by her dancers, Stallion’s set included her hit songs “Mamushi,” “Savage,” and “Body.” There were an estimated ten thousand audience members.
Before diving into “Body,” the singer added some commentary to support VP Harris: “Now I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies. And if you want to keep loving your bodies, you know who to vote for!”

It is safe to say that the rapper’s performance energized voters, especially among Gen Z. It was the perfect introduction to VP Harris’ equally ardent speech as the newly presumed Democratic nominee.
VP Harris spoke to the audience about restoring reproductive rights, confronting the middle class’ economic difficulties, and the current immigration crisis at the border.
VP Harris outwardly opposed Project 2025 and chanted alongside the crowd, “We are not going back!”
Stallion wasn’t the only musical persona to share the stage with VP Harris. Georgia native rapper Quavo addressed gun violence as a prominent issue— the rapper himself suffered the death of former Migos band member Takeoff.
With these appearances, as well as the new TikTok-induced slogan “Kamala IS Brat,” it is safe to say that VP Harris aims to gain Gen Z’s support, especially in swing states like Georgia.

Before concluding her speech, VP Harris challenged her opponent, former president Donald J. Trump, to debate her, potently stating, “As the saying goes, “If you got something to say, say it to my face.”
