Fresh off his “Best Actor in a Comedy” win from yesterday’s Primetime Emmy Awards, Jeremy Allen White is already excited about his next project. The actor is set to star in the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.

White previously won for his role in The Bear and has now taken another win for his performance in the newest season. In his acceptance speech, he thanked his costars, citing how grateful and happy he is.

Until now, White has been reluctant to discuss the new film publicly but did want to express gratitude for the team and their direction.

Set to be directed by Hostiles and Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper, Deliver Me From Nowhere is based on the Warren Zanes novel of the same name. The film will cover the making of Springsteen’s Nebraska and the roots of Born in the USA. The 1982 album is considered one of the most raw and honest pieces in recent music history. The film will follow Springsteen through his personal life, and how this bleeds into his work as he becomes a global superstar.

The project was initially rumored to be picked up by A24, but is now moving forward with 20th Century. Deliver Me From Nowhere is expected to begin filming in the fall, and could be released in as early as 2025. The film will be produced by former Netflix film head Scott Stuber, in his first project since exiting the company in early 2024. The project will also be produced by Gotham’s Group’s Eric Robinson and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein.

Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau will be reportedly portrayed by Jeremy Strong. Although their roles have not been officially confirmed, Odessa Young and Paul Walter Hauser have been added to the cast.

During the 76 Primetime Emmy Awards, the actor expressed his excitement for the upcoming project, referencing his team and how helpful they have been throughout the process.

Although the film won’t be out until next year, check out The Bear on Hulu.
