New Beginnings: Atlantic Welcomes BLACKPINK’s Rosé to the Family

In late September 2024, it was confirmed that BLACKPINK member Rosé had signed a solo contract with Atlantic Records. The news comes just a few weeks after BLACKPINK's Jennie signed her own solo deal with Columbia Records.

Recently, it was confirmed that BLACKPINK member Rosé had signed a solo contract with Atlantic Records. The news comes just a few weeks after Jennie signed her own solo deal with Columbia Records.

The K-pop artist shared the announcement on her social media writing, “I am so excited to announce my signing with @atlanticrecords to you!!!!!! I know you’ve all waited sooo so long for this moment, but I hope you’re READY for what’s in store for the next few months!! I CANNOT wait for you all to hear everything!! So hang on tight!! miss you all dearly.” Atlantic Records also confirmed the signing on their official Instagram, posting a photo of Rosé holding a bouquet, accompanied by a card reading, “Welcome to the Family.”

Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Rosé auditioned at YG Entertainment in 2012 and became a trainee at the label, eventually debuting as the final member of BLACKPINK in 2016. Since then, she has helped the group achieve massive success with multiple chart-topping singles, a world tour spanning 66 shows, and 1.8 million tickets sold worldwide.

Rosé joins the Atlantic Records roster alongside artists like Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Charlie XCX, and Ed Sheeran, while still maintaining her solo contract at Black Label, YG Entertainment’s partner company.

Outside of music, Rosé is an ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent, Puma, and Tiffany & Co. She is also following in the footsteps of her bandmates, with Lisa signing with RCA Records and releasing singles “Rockstar” and “New Woman” earlier this year.

As a solo artist, Rosé has has already made waves with singles like “Gone” and “On the Ground,” which debuted back in 2021 and peaked at number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The artist has also released her album, R, in March of 2021 under Black Label during her hiatus from BLACKPINK. The artist will continue releasing new solo music and posting upcoming projects on her other Instagram account, @vampirehollie. For now, she continues to be in the studio daily, working on new music.
