Tell Me Lies: Everything We Know About Season 3

Tell Me Lies is based on the novel by Carola Lovering. The book was first released in June 2018 and follows the story of Lucy and Stephen as their toxic relationship evolves throughout their time in college and into post-grad life.
Hulu’s adaptation premiered in September 2022, concluding in late October, and was renewed for its second season that November. The series stars Grace Van Patten as Lucy and Jackson White as Stephen. It also features Catherine Missal as Bree, Spencer House as Wrigley, Sonia Mena as Pippa, Branden Cook as Evan, and Alicia Crowder as Diana. The series was created by Meaghan Oppenheimer, who is also an executive producer alongside Emma Roberts.
As of now, Hulu has not formally renewed Tell Me Lies for a third season, but Oppenheimer seems to be excited to begin working on the next installment. In an interview with Variety discussing the end of season two, Oppenheimer teased potential plot points for the possible next season, stating, “I can’t say, because that would be a reveal in a later season,” in response to a question about the cliffhanger ending. It’s possible that the next season could pick up where season two left off and reveal what happens directly after the shocking reveal.

Season two’s ending has left Tell Me Lies fans in search of answers and more episodes, and they’re not the only ones. Even actress Van Patten expressed her surprise over the season two finale. When asked about the big reveal, Van Patten stated “That just went beyond my expectations…I really couldn’t believe that. I was also shocked, and I’m so curious, what would be in Meaghan’s head for a third season.”
