One Of Them Days Receives First Official Trailer
Issa Rae’s feature film One Of Them Days starring Sza and Keke Palmer, releases its first trailer. In theaters on January 24, the film looks to be one wild ride.
Last week, the official trailer was released for One Of Them Days. The film follows Dreux and Alyssa, two best friends who discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has spent all of their rent money. Living together in a small apartment in the city of Los Angeles, the two best friends go on an extreme race against the clock to avoid eviction, while keeping their friendship intact in the process. Issa Rae is the genius behind the powerful duo of Palmer and Sza, with a few other familiar faces in the film as well.
“How are we gonna make $1,500 by 6, not to mention I got the interview at 4?” Palmer asks in the trailer.

Aside from Palmer and Sza, the film features Maude Apatow, Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, and comedian Katt Williams. Issa Rae produces the film, while Syreeta Singleton is a writer. Lawrence Lamont is the director, known for his background in filming music videos. Lamont has worked with a plethora of artists, such as Kanye West and Snoop Dogg. The film is part of a larger project though, hailing from Sony’s new ColorCreative Lab at Sony Pictures. ColorCreative and Columbia Pictures have partnered in a new collaboration to foster emerging diversity amongst fellow filmmakers and screenwriters.
Now, this is not Palmer’s and Sza’s first rodeo together. The last time the talented duo shared the screen was in December 2022 on Saturday Night Live. Palmer was hosting while Sza was the musical guest after her album S.O.S. was released. While Palmer has starred in multiple films and television series, Sza is a bit newer to the film industry. One Of Them Days is the Grammy winner’s acting debut but has sung alongside Kendrick Lamar in “All the Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack. In addition, she has starred in her own cinematic music videos, such as Kill Bill where she paid homage to the original film.
The R-rated buddy comedy arrives exclusively in theaters on January 24. A perfect film to watch with your girlfriends as you all explore adulting in your mid-20s, expect lots of banter and insane hijinks along the way.
