Tate McRae has announced her upcoming album, So Close To What, along with her new MISS POSSESSIVE world tour, following the release of her latest single, “2 Hands.”

So Close To What follows the pop star’s highly successful 2023 album, THINK LATER, which peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and included the chart-topping hit “Greedy.” In her Instagram announcement, McRae called this new album her “most exciting journey yet.”

“Making this album has been the most beautiful and exciting journey & I cannot wait to finally share it with you!” The singer wrote on Instagram.

So Close To What will include McRae’s hit single “It’s ok, I’m ok,” which went viral on TikTok and became a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The album will also feature her new single, “2 Hands,” which McRae has been teasing on TikTok for weeks. In total, the album will have 15 tracks.

At a pop-up event in Australia, the singer gave fans an exclusive preview of her upcoming album, playing three songs titled “Dear God,” “Revolving Door,” and “Green Light.” These tracks reveal a more confident, evolved McRae, with personal lyrics that resonate deeply, capturing the complexities of relationships and emotions that have become her signature. This relatable storytelling continues to appeal to her fans, especially twenty-somethings navigating complicated love and life experiences.

The announcements didn’t end there—McRae also revealed her next big venture, the MISS POSSESSIVE world tour.

Joining McRae on the MISS POSSESSIVE world tour will be Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson and singer Benee, known for her 2020 quarantine anthem “Supalonely,” which took over social media feeds everywhere. Tickets for this star-studded event go on sale to the general public on November 22.

Fans were filled with excitement after the stars announcement filled day.

So Close To What will be released on February 21, 2025.
