In two weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will square off once again for the NFL’s ultimate prize in Super Bowl LIX, set to take place in New Orleans.

The Eagles dominated the Washington Commanders 55-23, with their two top stars, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, each rushing for three touchdowns. Hurts also threw for a touchdown in the impressive win.

In the AFC Championship game, Kansas City triumphed over the Buffalo Bills 32-29, with a bit of help from their star quarterback and, as usual, a controversial call from the refs. This victory gave the Chiefs the chance to chase a historic achievement: a Super Bowl three-peat.

The two teams then met in Super Bowl LVII, where the Chiefs edged out the Eagles with a last-second field goal, clinching one of the most dramatic finishes in Super Bowl history.

For the Chiefs, a win over the Eagles would secure their third straight Super Bowl title, something that has never been achieved in the NFL, despite being accomplished in nearly every other major U.S. sport.

While the team hasn’t been as dominant as in previous seasons, they’re still powered by the unmatched talent of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who continues to play at an elite level.

“It’s not about one guy. It’s not about a couple guys. It’s about the whole team,” Mahomes said. “And when we needed a defensive stop, they got stops. Offense we made plays. That’s why we’re so special. It’s a team effort and it’s a team football game.”

And speaking of big moments, Super Bowl LIX promises more than just incredible game. Fans will also be treated to a star-studded halftime show, with none other than Kendrick Lamar taking the stage. The Grammy-winning rapper is known for his electrifying performances and thought-provoking lyrics, and his appearance is sure to add another layer of excitement to an already historic event.

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why,” Lamar said in a statement at the time. “They got the right one.”

The big game is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome.
