Wendy Williams Enjoys NYC Tucci Outing, Passes New Psych Evaluation
Wendy Williams was seen leaving New York City restaurant, Tucci, following her recent hospitalization and psychiatric evaluation which she passed with flying colors, a 10 out of 10 score.
The former talk show host appeared in high spirits as she dined at Max Tucci’s Tucci restaurant in NoHo on Wednesday night. She was photographed smiling during the outing, dressed casually in a green and orange bomber jacket, a black top, tights under jean shorts, and black fur boots.

An insider stated that Williams “had a super time” during the night out, noting that she frequently wrote in her journal and looked well. “Guests inside the restaurant respected her. She was with her niece and a young man,” the source added.

However, Williams’ outing reportedly led to issues with her assisted living facility, which allegedly filed a police report against her niece, Alex Finnie, for taking her to dinner without permission, according to Page Six. The report claims Finnie evaded staff before leaving the facility with Williams.
Williams’ public appearance comes after she was transported by ambulance from her assisted living home to Lenox Hill Hospital following a wellness check on Monday. Photos captured her waving to photographers from her apartment window before NYPD officers and EMS escorted her out of the building.
Following her evaluation, Williams, 60, was deemed “alert and oriented” and received a “10 out of 10” on a capacity test, reported TMZ. The test results will reportedly play a role in the ongoing court case concerning her guardianship, which she has been under since 2022.
Williams also awaits a retest for frontotemporal dementia after previously denying she had the condition. She was diagnosed with the disease in 2023.
During a recent call to Good Day New York, Williams emphasized that ending her guardianship is her top priority. She explained that she currently resides in the memory unit of an NYC-assisted living facility, which is designed for individuals with cognitive impairments.
“In order to go to the gym, which is on the third floor, I have to be permitted,” she said, adding that any expenses must be approved by her guardian. “My money is, like, in the air.”
Williams, who previously referred to the facility as a “prison,” expressed her desire to remain in New York City and continue working once her guardianship ends.
Her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, pushed back against these claims, calling them “untrue” and “inaccurate” in a statement issued through her attorneys to Page Six. The statement asserted that Williams is allowed to contact and visit family at her discretion.
Despite this, Morrissey is reportedly under investigation by Adult Protective Services for alleged elder abuse. The U.S. Sun reported that she allegedly sent Williams to visit family in Florida in February without providing her access to money.
According to Page Six, Wendy Williams is set to make a virtual appearance on The View this Friday, March 14, marking her first television interview since leaving The Wendy Williams Show in 2021. During the segment, Williams will join the co-hosts alongside Ginalisa Monterroso, founder of Connect Care Advisory Group, to discuss her health struggles and ongoing legal battle over her guardianship.
Williams’ legal battle over her guardianship continues, as supporters rally behind her fight for independence.
