New Meghan Markle Podcast Explores Female Entrepreneurship

Netflix

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is stepping into the podcast landscape with Confessions of a Female Founder, an eight-part series set to debut on April 8. In a newly released trailer, she teases candid discussions about “sleepless nights,” “lessons learned,” and, of course, a little “girl talk.”

The teaser features Markle describing her podcast as a space where she connects with female entrepreneurs and friends, diving into the triumphs and the challenges they’ve faced on their journeys. “We’re diving into the highs—and the lows—and the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses,” she shared in the clip. “And, of course, we’re going to get some girl talk!”

Though the names of the guests remain undisclosed, voices from various episodes provide a look into the stories listeners can expect. One guest recalled the excitement of seeing their website traffic skyrocket. “It just started climbing and climbing, and there were 5,000, 10,000 people on our website.” Another entrepreneur mentioned, “I knew at that moment that I’d rather stand for something than sell a whole ton of product and stand for nothing.”

In addition, the Suits alumni ties her entrepreneurial experiences with her lifestyle brand, As Ever. “Through it all, I’m building a business of my own and getting all sorts of practical advice along the way that I’m very excited to share with you,” she stated. Furthermore, the Duchess emphasized the importance of female-founded ventures, noting that her podcast’s production company, Lemonada Media, is led by women.

Confessions of a Female Founder marks her second podcast venture, following Archetypes in 2022, which was produced under her now-ended Spotify deal with Prince Harry.

Reflecting on her journey, Markle stated, “You’re just trying to figure out how to walk, then you want to learn how to run, and then you want to learn how to fly. There’s something very exciting about learning something new as we get older. The entrepreneurial journey is a lot, and I’m really lucky that so many of my close friends are female founders I can learn from.”
