She announced she will depart after season 14 of the reality series. “Hey guys, so I have some news; I’ve decided to leave Beverly Hills,” the 58-year-old proclaimed in a new Instagram post on March 25. “It’s been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride.”
The mother of three cites her children as one of the reasons for her decision. “Nevertheless, one of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family,” she added. “My boys, their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that.”
She continued, “Secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting, and I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon.”
Beauvais thanked those who supported her throughout this journey, including producers, her costars, and Andy Cohen. “The door will always be open, so you never know,” she continued. “I might pop back in sometime. To the fans, thank you so much. You guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf.”
The Coming to America actress added, “It means a lot, and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me. It’s not goodbye; it’s see you later.”
After joining the franchise in 2020, the Jamie Foxx Show actress teased what viewers could expect from her presence. “First of all, I’ve been a fan of the show. I’ve been friends with Denise [Richards] for over 20 years, friends with [Lisa] Rinna a very long time as well,” she told E! News at the time. “So being a fan, and then when it came up, I thought immediately. My team was like, ‘Oh, we’re gonna pass,’ and I said, ‘Wait a minute, wait a minute. Let me sit on this for a minute’ and I thought, you know what, why not do something outside of the box.”
Furthermore, she noted the cast diversity is “100%” important to her “because that’s the world we live in.” Garcelle explained that the timing was perfect.
“I think it’s about time, and I don’t really know why they didn’t do it before. I’m glad it’s me,” she told E! News. “I think it’s about time. I think we all want to see ourselves represented in all aspects of life, right? So I think the timing was right when they came to me, and I was happy. I was happy to get on board.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 finale will air March 25 on Bravo.
