Alex Morgan Announced Birth of Second Child in New Post
Soccer player Alex Morgan is now a mother of two. On March 30, she and her husband, Servando Carrasco, welcomed their son and second child, Enzo, into the world.
The soccer star shared the announcement on Instagram in a new black-and-white photo of her and her husband, sharing a glimpse at their newborn. One image displays the baby’s little feet, and another is his hand holding one of his parents’ fingers. “Soaking it all up right now,” the post’s caption reads. “Welcome to the world, baby Enzo.”
Morgan and Carrasco are already parents to a four-year-old daughter. In September, the United States Women’s National Team alum shared that she was pregnant again before announcing her retirement from soccer.
“I am pregnant,” she stated in an Instagram video that explained her life updates. “As unexpected as this came, we are so overjoyed. To me, family means everything. I wouldn’t be here without my husband and my family uplifting, motivating, encouraging, supporting me, and sacrificing for me for the last 15 years as a professional athlete.”
In early October, Morgan spoke with People about her pregnancy and claimed she and her husband are excited to add another to their family. “We’re just really looking forward to expanding our family,” the Olympic gold medalist added.
“We’ve wanted to do this for a while, but we obviously wanted to find the right time,” she continued. “It came a few months earlier than anticipated, as the pregnancy was a little unexpected, but looking back, I’m really grateful for how everything worked out.”
Morgan cites that she felt more prepared after giving birth for the first time in 2020. “I’m in a different position now where I just want the best health for the baby and myself, and not looking to get back to being a professional athlete but still wanting to live a very healthy lifestyle,” the 35-year-old concluded.
Fans took to social media to express their excitement for the athlete as one fan wrote, “Just so freakin adorable, congrats to Alex Morgan and Servando Carrasco on the arrival of baby Enzo.” While another stated, “Alex Morgan had her baby OMFGG.”
