BLACKPINK’s Lisa made a landmark return to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this past weekend with a captivating solo performance.

She performed on the iconic Sahara Stage during the festival’s first weekend in Indio, California. While this marked her third appearance at Coachella, it was her first as a solo artist, following her performances with BLACKPINK in 2019 and 2023. The Thai rapper, singer, and dancer captivated the crowd with a 55-minute, high-octane set featuring 13 songs that spanned her solo discography.

Opening Shockwave

She opened with a dramatic performance of “Thunder” from her recent studio album, Alter Ego. Rising from below the stage on an elevated platform, she wore a striking black overcoat wrapped in chains. As the song intensified, Lisa descended to the stage to reveal a silver reptilian-esque armored bodysuit, gleaming with scale-like textures that set the tone for the visual spectacle ahead.

Her setlist included fan-favorite tracks such as “LALISA” and “Money” from her 2021 debut single album, alongside high-energy releases like “FXCK UP THE WORLD” and “New Woman.” For “New Woman,” she embraced a playful and nostalgic aesthetic with a Hello Kitty-themed two-piece ensemble, complete with printed boots.

Shifting Gears

Each transition flowed seamlessly, with each number showcasing a different facet of her artistry. “Dream” and “Moonlit Floor” marked a shift in tone, offering a more ethereal, slowed-down pace that emphasized her vocals.

Lisa donned a futuristic bodysuit that glowed an ethereal blue, perfectly complementing the mix of tempos and song styles during the middle of her set.

A Flaming Finale

Later, for her fierce “Elastigirl” performance, she transformed into a comic book-inspired heroine in a bold red outfit featuring studded leather belts and a star emblem across her chest.

The look perfectly led into a fiery finale, closing on a powerful and memorable note with crowd favorite “Rockstar.”

Precision Meets Passion

Lisa’s choreography was a masterclass in power and precision. Her performance blended sharp hip-hop isolations with aggressive footwork and commanding stage presence.

Every movement was expressive, confident, and perfectly timed to the beat, further amplified by her dynamic facial expressions and intense attitude.

The choreography reflected her deep sense of musicality and showcased the raw, physical energy she’s known for.

More Than a Performance

From the commanding choreography and meticulously crafted visuals to the bold fashion choices and powerful vocals, Lisa has proved herself a multidimensional artist capable of owning one of the world’s biggest stages. Her Coachella solo debut was defining as it celebrated her past, embraced her present, and welcomed her future as one of the world’s next big artists.
