Michael Bublé is reprising his coaching role in The Voice upcoming season.

NBC announced on May 12 that the Canadian musician will be returning to the hit series this fall for his third season, making him one of the only artists to be a coach for over two seasons.

“This is the best job I’ve ever had. Going to work every day is a joy, and I’m thrilled to be back for Season 28,” the 49-year-old told People. “I remember being just like these contestants. I know how badly they want it and how hard it is to get there.”

He added that his dream came true during the competition, and nothing makes him happier than helping another contestant reach their dream. “I get to be a part of helping someone else in their journey to do that same thing; there’s nothing better,” Bublé shared.

The singer began as a coach on The Voice season 26 in 2024 alongside Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire. The first-ever contestant he took under his wing was Sofronio Vasquez, who won the grand prize and became the first Filipino singer to win the American version of the series.

However, following his first blind audition, the singer told NBC that he’s not great at coaching. “It’s hard to advocate for yourself in that way. When I did, I tried to do it with humor, to be self-deprecating, and to hope that you could break down barriers,” the musician claimed.

He continued, “It would have been harder for me, I think, in other seasons where there was a different energy, like more of an edge of coaches fighting each other, but I was trying to be genuine. To tell people that I might be able to help them and use humor to break down those walls.”

During a September 2024 appearance on Today, the Grammy recipient shared that he was approached to join the series over 15 times before finally taking the offer. The artist noted that he turned it down because he did not want to face the pressure of judging fellow vocalists.
