Christopher Schwarzenegger Shares Health Update in New Interview

Christopher Schwarzenegger is opening up about his health and weight loss journey.
The son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver spoke at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy and Health Summit in Los Angeles about how he transformed his body. He noted that the process took him over five years.
“It was a big process,” the 27-year-old stated during the panel discussion with Shriver, Kelly Osbourne, and the event’s host Jeff Beacher. “I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip, and I made it a big deal, like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and do this stuff in Australia,’ I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities.”
He recalled watching his friends go skydiving without him because he was overweight. Schwarzenegger claimed his weight insecurity dated back to high school, when he would bring customized lunches to school to help him eat healthier.
“I tried everything. I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school,” he added. “It’s not an overnight thing, but it took a lot of trial and error. Even still, when you’re saying, oh, before and after photos. I don’t feel like I’m after yet.”

The University of Michigan graduate shared that giving up a particular food for a religious fast helped him lose 30 pounds in less than two months. “Weirdly enough, I gave up bread for Lent,” he continued. “I was like ‘Well, if I’m giving up bread, I might as well just take the opportunity, and I’m a good Catholic boy, so I’m not going to break it.’”
Christopher, you are a champion. I know your graduation from Michigan wasn’t the big celebration you dreamed about for years, but walking across a stage isn’t what makes me so proud of you: it’s your compassion, your hard work, and your vision. I love you. pic.twitter.com/YfNFZalRXF

Schwarzenegger noted that he accomplished his goal of avoiding bread during Lent, which helped him lose the excess weight. Osbourne, the event’s keynote speaker, stated that Beacher motivated her throughout her health journey.
“To be here on stage with somebody that helped me change my life and my weight loss journey was not easy, and it comes in stages,” she added. “The person who helped me go on this journey and was my biggest cheerleader every step of the way was Jeff Beacher.”
We wish Schwarzenegger and Osbourne the best as they continue their health and wellness journeys.
