Lauryn Hill Is Performing at Soundset
If you know music, you know Lauryn Hill is a living legend!
“Doo-wop (that thing)” and “Nothing Really Matters” are just a few of the legendary songs she has created. Although she made an agreement to a deal when she was young that makes her music not legally owned by her, she now rearranges her songs to perform. Her voice and just energy in her music is soulful and mesmerizing. She is having a performance this weekend on May 28th at Sound Set, a hiphop festival in Minnesota along with artists Travis Scott, T.I., Gucci Mane, Pusha T and so many others.
One of her first memorable appearances was in Sister Act 2 (which if you have not watched that movie, you completely should, it’s another great), where she played a young girl in high school finding herself through her love of music.
If you love Lauryn Hill and the others mentioned for this festival, this will be a perfect opportunity to start the summer with great energy, listening to some of the greats with a group of people who appreciate them just as much.
