‘Okja’ Film Released On Netflix

Netflix recently released the highly anticipated film Okja, and it looks like it’s already a massive hit among global audiences.

The film had already been critically lauded, as it was presented at the Cannes Film Festival inn June.

The movie’s heroine, Mija, is tasked with saving her friendly pet Okja. Okja happens to be a super-pig, a genetic experiment created by the evil Mirando Corp for the “greater good” of humanity. Okja is dropped off in the natural bliss that Mija calls home (set in South Korea) so that he can essentially grow to be the giant creature he was made to be. After he is snatched away from his home to be made into meat, Mija, along with a rag tag team of animal liberators, decide to save him.

It looks like the film will raise some serious questions concerning environmentalism and the often questionable practices enforced by big corporations like the one depicted in the film.
