This Miss Universe Contestant Is A True Inspiration

Miss Universe contestant Evita Delmundo is redefining traditional beauty standards!

The empowering Evita Delmundo, a 20-year-old from Malaysia, is running for Miss Universe 2018! Evita was born with moles covering almost every inch of her body and has an extremely motivational story to share with you!

Starting from a young age, Evita was bullied for her appearance and was really struggling to have confidence in herself because of all the mean comments. She considered getting her moles removed; however, she discovered that removing them was a health risk.

But,Evita was determined to follow her dreams and stand up for herself. She is now a role model to her followers and young girls as she reminds women everywhere to be proud of  their unique attributes and show off what makes them different!

She told ELLE that she is running for Miss Universe because she feels “like it’s a good way for [her] to showcase [her] uniqueness and newfound confidence” and she hopes to inspire others.

She continued by stating “Beauty is not just what’s on the outside; it’s not someone with the perfect face or the perfect body. Beauty is who you are as a person and how you love yourself. It’s never about perfection.”
