Kendrick Lamar Snags 8 VMA Nominations
8 reasons not to be humble.
Kendrick Lamar has the most nominations at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). He released his fourth studio album ‘DAMN’ in April of this year and it has since been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
His album and lead single ‘HUMBLE.’ has been doing great on the charts and they have earned him eight nominations this year at the VMAs. He now has seven plus one reasons to not be humble, at least for a little while.
For the song ‘HUMBLE.,’ Kendrick has the seven following nominations:
- Video of the year
- Best Hip Hop Song
- Best Direction
- Best Art Direction
- Best Visual Effects
- Best Choreography and;
- Video of the Year
Kendrick Lamar, himself, was nominated for the ‘Artist of the Year’ Award.
The event will take place on August 27th, 2017 at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA. Tune into MTV at 8 PM EST/ 5 PM PST as Katy Perry host the event live for the first time.
