The ‘Black-ish’ Spin-Off Has A New Title

Zoey is taking her own grown-ish show to college!

A spin-off of black-ish on ABC was announced earlier this year in May. The series is set to follow Zoey (played by Yara Shahidi) as she begins her undergraduate years in college. The series was unofficially named college-ish,  but it has since been changed to grown-ish.  You can take a look at the official poster below.

Grown-ish will air on Freeform, ABC’s sister channel, and the first season will have 13 episodes. Show creator and executive Kenya Barris discussed the differences between black-ish and grown-ish by saying “where black-ish examines what it means to be black, grown-ish is an examination of what it is and what it means to be grown.”

An official release date for the series has not yet been shared, but you can catch Zoey this fall on black-ish before she moves on to college in grown-ish.
