Can you believe it’s been 4 years?

No one could forget ‘Bangerz’-era Miley Cyrus. She wore a mouse bodysuit and twerked with Robin Thicke, but she gave herself an image that stretched beyond ‘Hannah Montana,’ her former Disney persona.

Miley’s single ‘We Can’t Stop’ changed how the world viewed her and finally allowed the talented singer to express herself without holding back. Ever since 2013, Miley has been evolving as an artist, an influencer, and an advocate for social change. She has shed her Disney Channel past and moved on to bigger projects.

In her Instagram post, Miley wrote:

“4 years ago TODAY! Thank you @mikewillmadeit for creating #Bangerz that changed my life 4evr! Love u always 🌸”

‘Bangerz’ really did change Miley’s life. as she went from a teen pop star to a multi-faceted celebrity. Her recent hit ‘Malibu’ has topped the charts and defined Miley’s current music style. She also recently performed at the Today Show’s Summer Concert Series and is set to perform at the benefit concert ‘One Love Manchester’ for the victims of the Manchester attack.

Miley is also the founder of the Happy Hippie Foundation, which “fights for the rights and welfare of homeless youth, the LGBTQ community, women’s rights and other social justice issues that Miley Cyrus feels close to,” according to the organization’s website.

Miley’s days of twerking and wrecking ball-swinging may be behind her, but she won’t stop surprising us. We can’t wait to see what she’s up to next!
