Attention, everyone! The new trailer for “Ocean’s 8” just dropped. In it, we watch Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) as she schemes with her friend Lou (Cate Blanchett) to plan the most ambitious heist yet -robbing the Met Gala. Her eyes are particularly set on the diamond necklace Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway) will be wearing to the event. It took Ocean “five years, eight months, and 12 days” to plan the heist, the length of her prison sentence. Joining the duo’s side are Rose (Helena Bonham Carter), Tammy (Sarah Paulson), Amita (Mindy Kaling), Nine Ball (Rihanna), and Constance (Awkwafina).
From the looks of the trailer, this film will be full of female power and brains. We’re also so excited to see Rihanna play the spunky hacker behind the scenes of the operation.
A lot of us have seen “Oceans 11” with actors like George Clooney and Matt Damon, but this all female cast is a definite must see for this summer. The film is set to hit theaters June 8.
