Mark Consuelos And Kelly Ripa’s Son Earns Role On ‘Riverdale’

Some excellent casting news was just announced for CW‘s Riverdale today with the exciting addition of Mark Consuelos, (who we all know as the big and bad Hiram Lodge on the show), and Kelly Ripa’s son, Michael Consuelos being cast.

Michael is the oldest son of the pair at 21 years old and this appears to be one of his first major on-screen acting roles. Previously Michael had done work on voice-overs for children’s shows, Go, Diego, Go! and Duck Dodgers.

However, it seems that Michael will not be playing a reoccurring character joining the Riverdale squad, but rather a younger version of Hiram Lodge in a few flashback moments. Obviously, the resemblance between the two is uncanny because they are real-life father and son, which is only going to make for a more realistic flashback opportunity.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos both took to social media to congratulate their son on his latest casting, and honestly what is better than working with your all-star actor of a father on a smash hit tv show?

Check out Michael on Riverdale season 3 which is set to be released October 10th on the CW.
