Tyler the Creator Just Won His First Grammy, See What Went Down

During the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, Tyler the Creator won his first Grammy for Best Rap Album of the year. 

Tyler’s music career began during 2009 when he released his first mixtape that he wrote and produced on his own. Confident that he’d win a Grammy, he honed in on his craft and continued to release critically aclaimed albums for the years to come. Eleven years later, his hard work finally paved the way for him to garner his first ever Grammy.

Tyler’s album IGOR is mostly known for its various ranges of sound which has elements of disco, funk, and R&B. Not one song on his album sounded the same as the distortion of his vocals brought an interesting take to the album. The live performances that followed the release of IGOR is truly what also brought the album to life. His live performances constantly kept fans entertained, and his overall aesthetic amplified the popularity of IGOR.
