Black Owned Everything is a newly-launched directory for people to find and support Black-owned businesses. Ever since the Black Lives Matter movement has gained much-needed awareness this year, so has the attention to support more Black-owned businesses. However, the need to find such organizations has been difficult for some.

Founded by costume designer and wardrobe curator, Zerina Akers, the Instagram account and website were created as a way for consumers to seek Black-owned businesses, such as restaurants, professional services, creative services and more.

The website has also been promoted by Beyonce. On June 19, she promoted the page on her website to celebrate Juneteenth, the day that celebrates the emancipation of slavery.

If you own or know of Black-owned businesses in your area, register on blackownedeverything.co. To know more about the Black Lives Matter movement, visit blacklivesmatters.carrd.co.
