Louis Vuitton Created an Inspiring Genderless Jewelry Collection

Louis Vuitton will launch its first genderless jewelry collection in September.

After two years as artistic director, Francesca Amfitheatrof created a special collection that will fit men and women. Named LV Volt every piece of this new line is marked with the letter L and V and “come together, split apart, link up, and intertwine in a myriad of textures, volumes, finishes, and dimensions.” These unisex pieces are composed of fine and geometrical lines, “The multiple interpretations of this inspiration offer infinite combinations to mix and match all pieces seamlessly.” The price range for these pieces is between $1,000 and $3,000.

But the most interesting thing about this collection is that “the pieces speak a universal language that transcends borders, genders, and styles.” The LV Volt is the first genderless collection created by Louis Vuitton; from necklace to earring and ring, both sexes can wear them.

It’s a great initiative to create a unisex collection; it shows the luxury brand acknowledge and understand the society we live in. We hope more brand will follow their lead and that we will see more diversity in future collections.
