21 Savage Donates Laptops and Masks to Students
21 Savage is providing laptops and masks to students in Atlanta, Georgia.
21 Savage is trying to teach young millennials to be more responsible with their money and financial management. The rapper has given many school supplies to students as the school year begins to start, and this is the fifth year that he is giving away supplies for students. However, this year the rapper is providing a little more than the usual.
This year, Savage is also providing students with masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and laptops for students in need of technology as an addition to the usual school supplies. In the 21st Century Banking Workshop event, Savage had mentioned that he wants Millenials to understand that it is not only important to earn money, but also managing money and being smarter about it. He then proceeds to say that he wants to help kids that have a similar background to him and be smart about managing their money.

As he directly stated, “For most kids, the focus is on earning money, and while that is important, to really get ahead you need to know how to manage your money, not just make it. As I have gotten smarter about financial management, I realize how important it is to control your money rather than be controlled by it. I want to help kids with a background similar to mine to get smart about their money.”
Back in 2019, Savage had teamed up with Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson, to expand his financial literacy campaign called Bank Account. The financial literacy campaign’s purpose is to help millennials in Atlanta understand the importance of financial management. As reported on the news, Savage and lawmakers had teamed up together with nonprofit organizations Juma and Get Schooled to teach kids the importance of financial management.
