Tributes to Ruth Bader Ginsburg Come In All Shapes and Sizes

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing on September 18 ignited a spark of creativity to honor her memory and influence all over the United States.

The ‘Notorious RBG’ has certainly left an impact on Americans in all walks of life, and that is only made more clear through the tributes that keep pouring in.

One very common public display of solidarity has been to dress with the iconic lace collar. Ginsburg wore these to add a feminine touch to the robes that were designed for men to wear. Just another way she took up her space and made a mark on the Supreme Court.

The feminist statue of the ‘Fearless Girl’ who stares down the ‘Charging Bull’ in New York City, has donned a signature RBG collar.

During her time in graduate school, she and her husband Marty attended Columbia University where she later taught. The school has paid tribute to her with their Alma Mater statue decked in a lace collar as well.

On a smaller stage, a local boutique in Philadelphia altered their window displays to reflect her iconic fashion as well as displaying pictures of her with her famous words.

People have flocked to Washington D.C. in droves to leave flowers, letters, and candles upon the steps of the Supreme Court for her.

One artist took to a giant canvas to portray her smile for all who walk by to see.

Even the LA Lakers strutted up and down the basketball court decked in collars that would have her stamp of approval.

There is no end to the outpouring of art, support, and love for a woman who changed America; who leaves her mark every time a woman buys an apartment on her own or opens her own line of credit. Those are just two of the small issues she fought for, in terms of women’s rights alone. Ruth Bader Ginsburg will forever go down in history for her work, her words, and her presence.
