Coco Jones is in her confidence era, and she has the anthem to prove it. Today the GRAMMY Award-winning R&B singer, songwriter, and actress released her new single ‘Body So Tea’ via High Standardz / Def Jam Recordings, along with an accompanying visualizer.

Built around a playful, self-assured energy, ‘Body So Tea’ is an ode to beauty and the quiet power of loving oneself. Produced by Stargate, Jasper, and Hiddie, the record captures Coco in full command — sleek, quotable, and delivering the kind of powerhouse vocals that made the world pay attention in the first place.

A Hot Streak That Keeps Building

The single arrives on the heels of ‘LUVAGIRL’ and Coco’s stirring rendition of ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ at the Super Bowl, a performance that became a genuine cultural moment on one of the most-watched stages in the world and further cemented her as one of today’s most impactful voices.

It also follows a landmark year. Her debut album ‘Why Not More?’ earned Coco her 8th career GRAMMY nomination and arrived as the #1 New R&B Artist Debut of 2025, taking the #1 spot for Current R&B Album Sales, a Top 3 placement among Current R&B Albums, and a Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. She followed it with a deluxe edition, ‘Why Not More? (MORE!),’ featuring ‘Other Side of Love’ with Alicia Keys, and a sold-out tour across the US and Europe.

More Than a Rising Star

Coco has long since outgrown the “rising star” label to become a leading voice in contemporary R&B and a genuine crossover force. She signed with High Standardz / Def Jam in 2022 and released the EP ‘What I Didn’t Tell You,’ whose lead single ‘ICU’ went platinum and climbed to #1 on the Billboard R&B Airplay chart. In 2024 she earned five GRAMMY nominations, including Best New Artist, and won Best R&B Performance for ‘ICU,’ a sweep that carried through to Best New Artist wins at the BET Awards, the Soul Train Awards, and the NAACP Image Awards.

A True Multi-Hyphenate

The music is only half the story. Coco currently appears in Malcolm D. Lee’s psychological thriller ‘Strung,’ out now on Peacock, and stars in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘That’s Her,’ which she is also executive producing. Earlier this year she returned as Hilary Banks in Peacock’s ‘Bel-Air’ for its fourth and final season.

Raised in Nashville by a singer mother and an NFL-player father, Coco began recording at nine and found acting soon after, from Disney’s ‘So Random!’ to the beloved TV movie ‘Let It Shine.’ More than a decade on, she has built the rare career that spans a GRAMMY-winning discography and a full screen résumé at once — and ‘Body So Tea’ is simply the latest reminder that she is only getting started.

‘Body So Tea’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
