Vote for Her Is Trending on Twitter and Here’s Why

Twitter

Just 18 days away from the highly-anticipated 2020 presidential election, The Lincoln Project sparked a trend that has taken over Twitter, and here’s how.

If you are planning to vote by mail or in-person, The Lincoln Project encourages you to vote for your daughters, mothers, sisters, friends, and any girl you know who has ever had a dream. The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee that was founded in December of 2019. Among the founders is Trump’s former counselor, Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George Conway. Through this inspiring advertisement, they are encouraging voters to vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

As of October 15, over 17 million people have already voted in the United States. In 17 ballots across 44 states, citizens from all walks of life have cast their votes as to who they believe should be the next American president. In some states, it is the biggest voter turnout in history.

This surge in early-voting is most likely a product of COVID-19 and how the Trump administration responded to it. Over 216,000 Americans have died in the last eight months, and the death toll is still increasing by the day.

On social media, people have had strong reactions to The Lincoln Project’s touching video about voting. Many posted about how they voted for their daughters and wives, and others wrote about voting to honor the late Associate Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy.

We encourage you to utilize your right to vote and make sure that you have a say in what happens in the next four years. Make sure you are registered to vote, for the election is just around the corner.
